AI Agency Linz for Industry, SMEs and Sport in Upper Austria
Ahoi Kapptn! is your AI agency in Linz: the Neue Werft building in the Linz harbor is our headquarters and the home base of our entire team. From here, we build AI for manufacturers, mid-sized companies, associations and sports clubs across Upper Austria. You talk through your process with the people who will build the system afterwards. And if your data must not leave your company network, the AI runs on your own hardware.
As an AI agency for Upper Austria, we measure ourselves by one thing: a process that needs less manual work afterwards. Our proposal agent and our phone assistant Toni run in daily operation from Linz, and for BRP-Rotax an AI Coach is part of a shipped product.

Our AI agency in Linz harbor: strategy and engineering at the same table
Our office is at Neue Werft, Industriezeile 35, 4020 Linz: high ceilings, big windows and a view of the ships in the harbor. This is where our AI workshops take place, and where the people who build AI systems for our clients and for ourselves work.
That has a practical effect: when you come in with your team, the developers who would later build your system are in the room. They answer questions about interfaces, data quality or effort during the conversation, and there is no handover between the workshop and implementation.
Ahoi Kapptn! has 20+ people, and our team brings 13+ years of product development experience. Philipp Baldauf, CEO and co-founder, leads AI strategy. Philipp Jahoda, CTO and co-founder, is responsible for our AI stack and is the author of the open-source library MPAndroidChart, with more than 38,000 GitHub stars. Meet the rest of the team on our about page with the founders and team.

Sharing AI know-how in Upper Austria
Philipp Baldauf teaches the AI Masterclass: four recorded sessions that go from the basics through agents to running AI in production. He also gives talks in an AI lecture series for WKO Upper Austria, the regional chamber of commerce.
Advise, prioritize, build: three AI services in Linz
Some companies need a decision first; others already know their process and want to implement it. For the full picture, see our AI applications for businesses.
AI consulting in Linz: find out whether it pays off
You want to know whether a use case holds up before you commit budget. In AI consulting for businesses, we look at your goal, your data and the systems a solution would need to connect to, such as ERP, DMS or file servers. You get a recommendation that includes the operating model: EU hosting, on-premise or Local AI.
AI workshop: take one process apart together
You want to walk through a process with management, the business unit and IT. In Linz, you do that with us at the Neue Werft (see the next section). For the agenda and other formats, including remote and at your site, see the AI workshop with use-case roadmap.
AI agents and automation: build the system
We develop AI agents for multi-step tasks that only use approved tools. For recurring workflows between existing systems, we use AI automation with n8n or Make. In both cases, we define up front where a person approves.
AI workshop at the Neue Werft
This format only exists at our headquarters: you come to the Linz harbor with your team and bring exactly one process. For half a day or a full day, we work on it together with the developers who would later implement it.
What you bring: a process that takes a lot of time today, such as preparing quotes, handling service requests or searching technical documentation. Add anonymized examples and the people who know the process and make decisions about it.
How the workshop runs:
- Map the process: We go through your process step by step, from the incoming request to the finished result.
- Check the tech on the spot: Our developers assess at the table which data is accessible, which interfaces are needed and where the effort lies.
- See live systems: We show you how our proposal agent and Toni work for us, including the points where a person steps in.
- Prioritize: We rate the use cases by benefit, feasibility and risk.
What you take away: prioritized use cases for your process and an agreed next step. That can be a fixed-price discovery for the strongest case or a reasoned decision not to pursue a case any further.
Half a day works for a clearly defined process, a full day for processes that involve several systems. We settle date and terms before you book.

AI from Linz in production: Rotax TRAX, proposal agent and Toni
Three systems in production: one in a product by an Upper Austrian manufacturer, two in our own operations.
Rotax TRAX: AI Coach for BRP-Rotax
For BRP-Rotax in Upper Austria, we developed TRAX: app, device, AI Coach and Driver Score. After every stint, the AI Coach analyzes the telemetry and gives prioritized tips such as "brake later" or "get on the throttle earlier". TRAX has been on the market for six years, the community has driven more than 50,000 km, and the app offers 40 challenges.
The pattern carries over: wherever lots of measurement data piles up that hardly anyone can read, AI turns it into a recommendation. Read more in the Rotax TRAX Kart Coach case study. If AI should become part of an app like this, continue with app development in Linz.

Proposal agent: from project request to proposal PDF
Since 2025, an agent has been working in our sales team via MCP. It creates project specifications, compares past proposals, estimates effort and puts a complete proposal PDF into the CRM in under 60 seconds. A person in sales reviews and approves it. Together with admin workflows such as invoice preparation, this saves us about 100 hours per month. We explain the technical background in our article on how we use MCP in production.
Toni: AI phone assistant from Linz
Toni answers our calls and recognizes whether it's a project inquiry, a support case, an invoice question or a callback request. He then answers the request, routes it or documents it. You can try him yourself: +43 677 61279177. Read how Toni is built in our article on our AI phone assistant.
Other clients from the region include KEBA in Linz and LASK, for whom we built the LASK website.
When data must not leave the plant: Local AI and the AI Act
Design data, service reports, cost calculations: if documents like these must not leave your company network, Local AI inside your company network is the right fit. The assistant runs entirely on an AI workstation at your site, such as an ASUS Ascent GX10. There is no cloud and there are no external API calls, and every answer cites the source it comes from.
Where cloud services are allowed, we plan EU hosting. Either way, we define who may see which data, what gets logged and where a person approves. We take GDPR and the EU AI Act into account from the planning stage. Our EU AI Act checklist helps you prepare internally. Our ISO 27001 certification is in preparation.

Linz or Vienna?
Both offices are one team. Our Vienna office on Diefenbachgasse has been working with the Linz team since 2026. If your company is based in Vienna, our AI agency in Vienna is your point of contact. For Upper Austria, and for anything you want to discuss with the whole development team in the room, the Neue Werft is the right place.
